A tale told by Amelia, a girl from the Renaissance Age, with much to tell her new friends. Whenever she’s in trouble, as she often is with goblins or trolls, all Amelia has to do is blow her dragon whistle, and her dragon friend comes to the rescue! This story is told using two unique wind instruments: the bamboo dragon whistle, and the ancient ocarina clay flute. Sing and dance and call for dragons with Amelia! The story ends with a dragon parade!
“The Dragon Whistle” is storytelling told with puppets and masks. Amelia sits on the floor with the children and pulls her puppets out of her magic box. All puppets are hand made by the puppeteer. The show is followed by a demonstration speech about puppets and puppeteering. All questions will be answered and the children will have a chance to take a closer look at the puppets that interest them. Parents are welcome to attend with their children. |
